TRAINERS
Butch McCowen
I have been a professional fitness trainer since 1995 and have guided hundreds of clients on their way to a healthier and fitter version of themselves. I discovered weight training in 1979, at the age of 13, and started competing in bodybuilding two years later. Competitive bodybuilding was my passion for many years. My final and ultimate achievement in the sport was winning the 1997 NPC Florida Men's Bodybuilding Championships, aka Mr. Florida.
The years spent as a student of bodybuilding have served me well as a fitness trainer, as I thoroughly understand the mechanics of building muscle and losing fat. However, the experience of being a personal trainer for 24 years has taught me how to properly apply that knowledge to others at all levels of fitness. As I have matured as a trainer, I have continued to learn and adopt much from other fitness disciplines.
My clients range in age from 9 to 77, with the majority being over 40. If I can help you with your fitness goals, feel free to give me a call or text at (386) 717-5822.
Max Aubry
Max was born and raised in Canada. As a child he struggled with obesity. At 14 years old, Max began exercising and jogging; he lost 35 pounds in two months and vowed never to quit exercising.
At the age of 17, Max discovered his true passion: Kickboxing! He learned and practiced for 5 years under the supervision of 23 times middleweight champion, Jean-Yves Theriault (aka the Iceman). From 2006-2008, he was in charge of a kickboxing program at a taekwondo school in Cincinnati, Oh where is wife resided at the time before they relocated to Florida. Max successfully built up a clientele since his moving to DeLand a little over 10 years ago and managed to do good business by word of mouth and training people thru cardio kickboxing and weightlifting.
Max is certified as a personal trainer and a group fitness instructor
Tammi Montgomery
I began my career as a personal trainer in 2003, and am certified with ACE, the American Council on Exercise. I have had the pleasure of training many people of all ages and fitness levels. Our bodies are meant for motion, endurance, and challenges; and with that in mind, I challenge my clients with strength, cardiovascular, balancing, and stretching exercises. Encouragement and guidance toward sensible eating habits are always provided, as proper nutrition is key to a healthy and fit body.
Exercise and healthy living are more like a marathon than a sprint and must be practiced as we age to get the most life out of our bodies. A client that I have worked with for 13 years credits her exercise regimen as the reason for her ability to still walk. I am fulfilled and happy to be a part of that.
If I can help you with your exercise or fitness needs, please call or text me at (386) 747-5522.
